THE ATTORNEYS AT MEYERSON, FOX & CONTE, P.A. ARE EXPERIENCED IN DEALING WITH ALL ASPECTS OF ALIMONY DURING DIVORCE PROCEEDINGS.

Alimony, also referred to as spousal support, is a component of divorce which is often one of the more contentious and difficult issues to resolve.  It involves a determination of one spouse’s obligation to contribute to the other’s support. The issue may need to be addressed as a temporary arrangement pending the conclusion of the divorce (pendente lite) or as an ongoing arrangement after a Judgment of Divorce is granted.  The parties, or the Court, need to resolve both the amount and term (length of time) of any alimony that will be paid.  It requires an analysis of the income earned, or expected to be earned, by each spouse, the length of the marriage, the health of the parties and other factors which need to be addressed in each individual case.

New Jersey recognizes several different types of alimony which need to be considered, depending on the facts of each case.  Our family law attorneys are all experienced in dealing with the complexities of alimony/spousal support issues and work with our clients to resolve these issues fairly and in their best interest.  Contact one of our attorneys today to learn more about how we can help you.
