The Hon. Harry G. Carroll, J.A.D. (Ret.), who leads Meyerson, Fox & Conte's mediation and ADR practice, recently settled a case brought by two victims who were sexually abused while in foster care between 1969 and 1972.  The Plaintiffs had sued the New Jersey Department of Children and Families who placed them in the foster home.  Judge Carroll successfully facilitated a settlement whereby the State of New Jersey agreed to pay the Plaintiffs $19.5 million.  The settlement followed a $25 million jury verdict for a victim of sexual abuse in a New Jersey foster home in March 2024.  "These are difficult and emotional cases, and I was glad to have assisted the parties reach an agreement on compensation," said Judge Carroll.

Judge Harry Carroll mediates all types of cases throughout New Jersey, including personal injury matters, estate contests, civil actions, and divorce proceedings.  Prior to joining Meyerson, Fox & Conte, P.A., Judge Carroll spent nearly two decades as a judge in the Family, Criminal, General Equity and Appellate Divisions.
