Meyerson, Fox & Conte, P.A. is proud to have welcomed Julianna R. Scofield, Michael Carbone and Defne G. Guvenc as associates with the firm. Juliana Scofield attended Rutgers School of Law Newark, where she served as Senior Managing Editor for the Rutgers Law Record and served as a Clinical Law Student in the Intellectual Property Clinic. Prior to joining Meyerson, Fox & Conte, Juliana served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Carol V. Novey Catuogno, Assignment Judge of the Bergen Vicinage in New Jersey Superior Court. Juliana is currently a pupil in the Justice Morris Pashman Inn of Court for the 2026 – 2028 term.

Michael Carbone graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2025, where he was the Secretary for the International Law Society and a member of the Brooklyn Law School Mediation Clinic. After law school, Michael completed a clerkship with the Honorable Cynthia D. Santomauro, J.S.C. in the Essex County Superior Court, Chancery Division, General Equity and Probate Parts for the 2025-2026 court term.

Defne G. Guvenc attended the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, where she completed internships with Pace Women’s Justice Center, Legal Services of the Hudson Valley and a corporate internship at Jaguar Land Rover. Defne has experience handling real estate, estate administration and landlord/tenant matters.

Juliana, Michael & Defne will be primarily working in the firm’s guardianship and trust and estate practice group, handling guardianship matters, estate administrations, and drafting estate documents.
